Pistachio Pesto Sauce

Ingredients


1 1/2 cups fresh basil


1/2 cup parsley


1 cup shelled dry roasted pistachio nuts


2-3 cloves of garlic


1/2 cup olive oil or pistachio oil


1 teaspoon lemon zest


1/4 cup grated asiago cheese

 

Pistachio Pesto Sauce



Put all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender, and puree. Pulse for choppy pesto; blend throughout for juicier, gooier pesto.


When adding the olive oil or pistachio oil, start with 1/4 cup and slowly add more if desired or needed. Serve with your favorite pasta.
